I was lucky enough to partake in their latest event, Camp Gorgeous, which was held just a few weeks ago at the Skydome at SM North Edsa. Since I've known the event early, I was able to sign-up and get a slot from two of their workshops from Shu Uemura and Benefit Cosmetics.
Despite the brewing storm that day, the BDJ team were still up and running. No storm could ever falter their high spirits! And the nice thing about all these beauty social events is that, entrance is free, so even if you just stumble upon the event without any idea what it's about, you can still check it out without paying for anything at all!
We arrived at Skydome early, probably around 12 noon. Since my first talk will start around 1 p.m, I decided to check out the booths first. The very first booth that I noticed was by Benefit Cosmetics.
Benefit Cosmetics Booth with their booth majorette.
I was able to drop by their booth last March but I thought it was already closed since I didn't see anyone around. So I was really hyped to see their booth again this time. They were promoting their newest product called Majorette, a cream-to-powder booster blush that comes with a pink-peach shade.Their cute booth majorette even showed me how to apply it with just the use of my fingers. I initially saw this product online via their facebook account, and I gotta admit that I instantly liked it. I loved how it looked, the packaging and all. And during that day that I was able to try it out on myself, I wanted it more. It was seriously perfect - the pigmentation was just right and the shade, exactly how I wanted it to be. I seriously hope that I could save up and get one for myself really soon!
Majorette!
I adored their booth! A part of it was made to look like a huge Majorette with the big mirror. Benefit cosmetics wanted girls to try out their newest blush and have their 'selfies' taken via the huge mirror. I took a couple photo instead. Before we left, the Benefit majorette was nice enough to give me a Porefessional trial sachet too. Such a sweetie.

After the whole Bene booth experience, I went straight for my first talk for the day. The event's host, by the way, is none other than the beautifully sexy, Ms. Karen Bordador. I didn't actually expect to see her as the host. And I was surprised by how simple yet pretty she looked in person.
My first talk was 'Be Bold, Be Edgy' with Patrick Alcober of Shu Uemura. I'm still trying to learn how to properly apply eyeshadow, so this talk really helped me a lot. He did a really simple yet basic way of using eyeshadow, as well as how to partner different shades.
His model, Ms. Avryll Ortega-Vicencio was really pretty too. What caught my attention was her face. She was so lovely, I was actually staring at her during the whole talk. And I loved her dress a lot, the simple black and white peter pan collar dress is always a classic!
Since my second talk will start at around 5:00pm, we decided to roam around the event to see all the other booths that were there. I started with the Heroine Make booth. Like Canmake and Dolly Wink, Heroine Make is another product that came from Japan. I've always been intrigued with this brand since I've been seeing it a lot online.
I tried out one of their famed products named the Heroine Make Impact Frame and Curl Mascara. When it said impact and curl, it really wasn't joking. I was surprised at how long my lashes had become right after applying it. Another make added to my must-buy list!
There were also other beauty booths at the event including Covergirl and Revlon. At the Revlon booth, they were offering their free hair coloring services for people who will buy a box of their hair color.
Another familiar booth was from Piandre. I've seen this salon before at the Madrigal area in Alabang, so I was surprised to see them there as well. Other booths include those from Max Factor, Yves Rocher, Eco Tools and Real Techniques, Glamglow and Too Cool for School.
The L'Oreal booth was also very interesting. They offered free facials and skin analyzers during the whole event. I wasn't able to try the skin analyzer out since the line from their booth was never-ending, so I was envious of the people who got the chance to try it out.
Meanwhile, Pac Philippines had a little activity in their booth. They also offered exclusive skin care and make up workshop. The lucky Bellas who got to join their talks also took home goodie bags from them. They also had a little contest going on their booth: get a chance to win different prizes from them just by trying their colorful liquid liners, taking a photo and posting it on Instagram. Of course, since I've got nothing else to do, I decided to give it a try.
My 'selfie' photo for PACPH
I used the Miracle Green color and topped it on my black liner. unfortunately, my photo wasn't able to give justice to what I've applied on my lids. I was able to win a Free Makeover worth 1500php.
The last talk that I attended was the 'Get a Beauty Boost' by Mikka Lim of Benefit Cosmetics. She initially introduced Benefit's products and best sellers, including their famed They're Real line. Finally, I had the chance to see the They're Real Mascara and Eyeliner in action! As you can see, after applying They're Real mascara, the effect is like the model had really long lashes. Ms.Mikka also showed how easy it is to achieve a cat eye style just by using They're Real Eyeliner.
A photo of my outfit during the event together with my BDJ Box loot bag! I decided to wear a pair of shorts since I wanted to be in my most mobile and comfortable mode cause it was raining during that day. I tried to look simple, I really did. I mean, my hair is a bit loud enough, right? ><
BDJ Box's loot bag contained all of these goodies! I really didn't expect to get this much. Trial packs, I love love trail packs.
I can't wait to attend another BDJ Box event! They're one of the reason why I get the chance to try out a lot of make-up and skincare goodies and I love it. They'll make you feel that you can be beautiful in a lot of ways with just how you want it to be. Attending this kind of event is always an experience.
To the BDJ Box team, kudos and congratulations for a job well done! Till next time! :)
